Restoration of historical buildings is a field with various scientific and technic dimensions. In order to carry out restoration applications in accordance with international charters and conventions, both historic and technic properties are to be analysed fully. The analysis of material properties and compositions is an important field of research that yields at the end to the determination of new restoration materials. Lack of sufficient researches on compatible new material in Turkey result in further material problems after restorations. The aim of this study is to provide scientific and technic knowledge on the material properties of Principalities Period Monuments, and to develop preliminary decisions on new repair material.
