The “Izmir Historical Port City: April 18 and UNESCO Studies from the Past to the Future”, workshop organized in cooperation of IZTECH, Izmir Historical Port City Area Directorate and General Directorate of Rediscovery of Historical Kemeraltı (TARKEM), within the scope of April 18 International Monuments and Sites Day, has concluded.
In the workshop, which continued for two days, the studies carried out to create a UNESCO Chair on the theme of Cultural Heritage and Risk Management at IZTECH were conveyed to the relevant stakeholders and consultations were held in order to carry the cultural heritage studies in Izmir to the international level. Activities related with the establishment of a UNESCO Chair in the Faculty of Architecture at IZTECH are continued.
